Lee Roberts was recently elected president of the Independent Payroll Providers Association (IPPA) at the organization’s annual business meeting which was held on August 18, 2022. Prior to being elected president, Roberts served as the vice president of the IPPA. His first official meeting as president of the association will be on September 20, 2022. Roberts is a shareholder at BerganKDV where he serves as Director of Firmwide Sales. In his role, Roberts leads the sales team that represents the entire stack of BerganKDV’s solution offerings.
IPPA is a leading national trade association consisting of privately held companies whose primary function is the preparation of payroll and payroll taxes for employers of all sizes, processing nearly $200 billion in gross wages annually. In addition to payroll, these companies also offer a variety of timekeeping and human capital management (HCM) software solutions.

As Director of Firmwide Sales at BerganKDV, Roberts has built a nationally recognized sales organization over the past 16 years, that has been a key contributor to BerganKDV’s growth which surpassed $100 million in revenue in the fiscal year 2022.
Roberts earned his bachelor’s degree in business management and marketing from the University of Minnesota. In addition to the IPPA, Roberts is active in local nonprofit organizations and is a frequent keynote speaker at various chambers and economic alliances across the country.
