BerganKDV is committed to protecting the anonymity of users who submit tips through the PlainSight fraud hotline. Several measures were taken during the development of PlainSight to help ensure there is no personally identifying information obtained or stored from users who submit information through PlainSight. The only instances where personally identifying information is obtained and stored is when the user voluntarily submits their personal information. By using this website, you hereby agree that you understand and consent to our privacy policy. Please see below for more information regarding how we protect the privacy and security of user information.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

PlainSight is a tool that your organization has subscribed to with the goal of empowering employees to safely and anonymously report any financial, ethical, or other fraudulent activities they become aware of. PlainSight was designed to protect the identity of those who do the right thing by reporting information they know.

When you submit a tip through the PlainSight fraud hotline, you can expect that you will remain anonymous. However, you may choose to provide your personal information such as your name, email address, or telephone number. If you choose to provide your name and contact information, you are waiving your right to anonymity.

In the event you choose to waive your right to anonymity, the personal information you provide will only be available to specific members of management within the subscribing organization and BerganKDV PlainSight fraud hotline administrators. The information you provide will only be utilized if the organization would like to follow up and ask additional questions about the information you provided. The personal information you provide may also need to be provided to others through any legal processes that occur because of any legal action taken on alleged fraudsters. By providing your personal information, you acknowledge that members of management of the subscribing organization or BerganKDV can contact you regarding the information you submitted and are expressly consenting to such contact.

If you have waived your right to anonymity by providing your personal information, we reserve the right to disclose your personal information as required by law and to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process.

Users can choose to submit information through the PlainSight phone application instead of the web application. The information submitted by the user through the phone application is automatically transcribed. The subscribing organization will only receive the transcription of the call and will not receive a recording of the call as the organization could potentially identify the caller if they recognize the caller’s voice.

If you upload supporting documents along with your tip and would like to remain anonymous, you should avoid uploading documents that show you as the author of the document under document properties. BerganKDV PlainSight fraud hotline administrators and specific members of management from the subscribing organization who receive tip information may be able to see the author of the documents when they open them.
