President John Reynders Discusses the Transition from a College to a University

On the premiere episode of The Big Plan on Campus, Thomas shares his mission for the podcast as a place to bring value to the field of education through financial planning best practices and topics that matter most to educators with the help and input from various industry leaders. For this episode, Thomas is  joined by John Reynders, President of Morningside College to discuss the transition of colleges becoming universities, a process that Morningside College is currently undergoing.

John tells the story of his educational career and his instinct decision to leave his home state of Pennsylvania to help run a small college in Iowa, an institution at the time that was struggling to land on its feet. He then dives into the factors that go into the process of transitioning from a college to a university, such as a growing graduate student program, the marketing strategies required, and more.
