Lee Roberts was recently elected vice president of the Independent Payroll Providers Association (IPPA) at the organization’s annual business meeting which was held virtually on August 19th. Roberts is a shareholder at BerganKDV where he serves as Director of Sales. Prior to being elected vice president, Roberts served as the secretary/treasurer and head of membership on the IPPA’s board of directors.
IPPA is a nationwide leading trade association consisting of privately held companies whose primary function is the preparation of payroll and payroll taxes for employers of all sizes, processing nearly $200 billion in gross wages annually.
“It’s an honor to serve as vice president of the IPPA,” said Roberts. “IPPA is such a respected and recognized force in government and the payroll industry. With all of the proposed federal and state regulations coming at us, IPPA’s role in providing feedback and amending proposed legislation has never been greater. I am excited to work together with our representatives and regulators to ensure a proper balance of oversight that doesn’t hurt the growth of payroll companies.”
In addition to being elected vice president, Roberts will serve as president of the IPPA beginning in 2023. In his role as Director of Sales at BerganKDV, Roberts works with the sales teams in each of BerganKDV’s markets to discover innovative and impactful solutions that address the needs of clients. He has been an essential part of BerganKDV’s sales growth and initiatives for over 15 years.
Roberts earned his bachelor’s degree in business management and marketing from the University of Minnesota. In addition to IPPA, Roberts is active in the Cushing Big Lake Sportsman’s Club as well as various chambers and economic alliances in BerganKDV’s markets.
