Shareholder Heather Gunderson received an Ovation Tribute yesterday at an Iowa Women’s Foundation (IWF) virtual event. Gunderson was nominated by Cedar Valley Market Leader Crystal Ford. Ford serves on the IWF board.
In her tribute to Gunderson, Ford writes, “Paving the way and gaining attention and respect across her industry describes Heather Gunderson. Heather is an expert in CPA Services, especially in gifts, trusts and estate planning and taxation. Heather was the first female partner with the firm Bergan Paulsen, now BerganKDV. Since that honor, she has continued to focus on diversity and inclusion initiatives and inspiring other females to achieve excellence.”
A group of her female teammates created a video honoring Gunderson that was used in the virtual event to recognize and celebrate her.
Gunderson earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Northern Iowa and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Iowa Society of CPAs and the Black Hawk County Estate Planning Council. Heather also is involved with Exceptional Persons, Inc., the University of Northern Iowa Foundation and Tate’s Army.
