BerganKDV and Simma Flottemesch and Orenstein (SFO), located in Minneapolis, MN, have merged. The merger has a close date of June 1, 2022. After closing, SFO will use the BerganKDV name and branding. SFO offers extensive tax, audit, accounting and business advisory services to its clients and have been a prominent firm in the twin cities area since 1975. This partnership combines two like-minded, prominent professional services firms who share similar values and allows BerganKDV to expand its current breadth of expertise on its CPA Solutions team.
The SFO team consists of 20 staff members including three shareholders which brings BerganKDV’s current twin cities market headcount to about 130 employees and the firmwide number to approximately 580 employees. “This partnership means a lot to BerganKDV,” said Tim Engeldinger, CPA Solution Leader at BerganKDV. “We are incredibly excited to work alongside SFO due to our shared midwestern roots and strong work ethic.
