BerganKDV’s Forensic and Data Services team has launched a fraud hotline as a new service offering to clients. The hotline is named PlainSight to bring awareness to the fact that many times, fraudulent activity is happening in clear view. PlainSight features both a web-based form that allows users to report and track the status of their tip as well as a phone line in which callers can leave information with tip details. The tool is completely anonymous so that users feel confident and comfortable sharing tips without any fear of retaliation.
“We are thrilled to offer PlainSight to our clients,” said Steve Wischmann, CPA, CFF, CFE, MAFF, CGMA, Forensic and Data Services Shareholder at BerganKDV. “It’s crucial to empower team members to speak up when they witness suspicious activity, and the ease of the tool will allow them to do just that. PlainSight will provide an additional layer of protection for combatting fraud, and we can’t wait to see the impact it has for our clients.”
“Fraud has become more prominent than ever,” said Michael Bösl, CPA, CFE, Forensic and Data Services Manager at BerganKDV. “With today’s criminals becoming more elusive and fraudulent activity on the rise, we wanted to ensure our clients had an option for an intuitive tool that made reporting tips simple and straightforward. A tip could be all it takes to make a significant difference for an organization.”
PlainSight is one of the many service options offered through BerganKDV’s Forensic and Data Services team. In addition to the hotline, PlainSight includes resource materials, training on the tool, and guidance on what actions to take if fraudulent activity is discovered.
